He what???

Oh. No. He. Didn't.

Use your inside voices.
Share your toys.

Love your post and your blog! I'm following you now, so you'd better behave. Unlike the folks you've featured on your post.;-)

Amen! Amazing isn't it!!!! I want to whack them up the side of the head and ask if their mother would be proud of them. (That used to work on me, but maybe I'm too old and *they* are too young?!!!?)

Seems like bad behavior pays - at least in terms of the amount of attention you get - and in some cases, like the rude Senator, it even drums up more money for you.
Sad.

Barbara, you can read my mind! What has been going on recently, is it in the water? I have got to get on youtube, I cant believe written word from the newspapers, I have got to see this for myself! Terrible manners! I felt terribly awful for the young singer being treated so badly by keane West!

I couldn't agree more. We have become a graceless society. We wonder why and how, but I blame my generation and the ones immediately following who fell victim to the misguided notion that somehow making little ones say Yes Ma'am, No Sir was somehow effecting their self esteem.

So now we have a couple of generations who truly do believe it's all about their personal view of the world and are no longer good citizens and neighbors.

Shame on us. We all share this one. The question becomes...how do we start to reverse it?

Denra--Lol! I make no promises on the behaving thing, but I'll do my best...Thank you for following me! I love your blog, too! You make me laugh...

Er...I mean, DEBRA. What's wrong with my index finger today? Sorry. Debra. Thanks again.:p)

Snap--I know!! Someone needs to, might as well be you. And if they happen to walk past me, I may do it as well. Sheesh! Thanks for the comment. I always love to see your name up there!

Bonnie--Exactly...What's all that fund raising about? How is it possible we think all this is working?? Argh. They always say the only bad publicity is no publicity. I sadly believe that is true today. But it's like rewarding a bad child with candy or attention. It just keeps getting worse. Thanks for your comments. Always welcome.

Claire,
You're so right. I'm sure we're seen around the world as Ugly Americans for a reason. I love Taylor Swift and she did not deserve that. No one does. I wonder what Kanye would have done if someone had pulled that on him. (Barbara, grinning imagining it...Sorry.)

Hi Holly--Yes, was it all that free love and peace that made us forget our manners? You're right. I think we can't shirk the blame. But sadly, the media only perpetuates this by excusing this type of behavior, brushing it off as excusable, considering who and what they are....Sad.

Funny, I was going to do a post on manners..or better yet, the lack of manners. VERY succinct! Lack of parenting skills or just trying to be cool? Humph..I'm really getting old!

Alicia--I know what you mean. Is it old fashioned to have manners? It feels like it, huh? But I feel like even the young have been kinda shocked by this little spate of rudeness...Thanks for the comment. Always great to hear from you!

Geesh all those lessons we learned in preschool. Honestly my preschoolers behave better. What the heck...all three should be treated to a public display of standing in the corner for a bit!
Great post hon!! Love you, Sarah
