Were you watching?

1.Did you watch the Superbowl?
2. Were you rooting for New Orleans? (I love an underdog!)
Or, 3. Are you female and you only watched it because it was on every television in the house?

Okay, that doesn't really matter, because I know a lot of women who love football. I don't happen to be one of them, but I can be wrangled into watching playoffs in most sports, namely, the BIG KAHUNA OF FOOTBALL, unless it conflicts with "Big Love" or some book I'm enthralled with.

Last night, I had no such conflicts (luckily "Big Love" was on later where I live. (Do you watch that show? Do you love it? I can't stop watching it!)

Still, I thought, at least the commercials would be entertaining. I used to do commercials. Did I tell you that? Okay, it was a long time ago. But I tend to watch commercials with a slightly jaded discerning eye.

So which ones did you like?

I know a lot of people liked the Jay Leno, David Letterman one, but my favorite?
The GOOGLE ad about the guy moving to France for a semester abroad. Click, click, click.  Ends up looking up how to build a crib?
Genius.
Even though, as a traitor to my fellow actors, since no actors were involved...I loved it because it let me use my imagination. And that made it so much better than the ones that tried so hard to grab my attention by being idiotic.

Which ones were your favorites? C'mon. I know you were watching.

If not, what did you think about BIG LOVE???

The cable and satellite companies block American advertising in Canada (substituting Canadian advertising instead), so we have to watch the Super Bowl ads the next day when local news channels run a "best of" compilation. Not quite the same thrill, I'm sure!

Thrilled that NO won. Didn't really watch the commercials, but loved the Clydesdale and the steer.

I sure did watch the super bowl. And while I was rooting for the Colts, I was not disappointed that New Orleans won. Their franchise was long overdue, and it was appropriate for the city.

I liked the one where the player's real head is on the little body. That was just plain funny.

We had lots of snow and had lost our power. Found out that it was restored during the first half. So we came back home at halftime. Didn't see much of the second half. I love an underdog also-glad Drew Brees is going to Disney World! Most of the commercials I saw were stupid-2 in a row with people in their underwear-don't know why. Didn't see the google one but heard that it was a good one.

Hi Barbara: Oh yes, I do enjoy Big Love - as I enjoy so many of the HBO programs. Great acting in the show and I, of course, relate personally to the story line, in that I lived in a group that was outside of the societal norm.

It was good to see the Saints win, although I only sat to watch for small portions at a time ... but the males gathered in front of our TV enjoyed themselves.

I didn't even know what teams were playing until today when I asked one of the kids at school.

I was for the Saints too - they just needed something like this.

I wasn't too impressed by the commercials this year - but I did like the google one.

Really made you think!

I like football when I have someone to root for - to just watch it for the sake of watching doesn't do it for me - of course, I was rooting for The Saints!

I liked that google commercial a lot - most of the others just made me roll my eyes or go "Huhn?" Although I always have a soft spot for the Clydesdale commercials!

And what was it with guys in their underwear? sheesh....

so, you used to do commercials - how was that? did you like it?

It's me again - don't have your email.

Just wanted to tell you that -
Kelly was engaged to be married last May 25th and 6 weeks before the wedding her ex canceled it – over the internet – and has never told her why! Everything was paid and arranged. Broke her heart and I wanted to put a little pink in her life!
